I chose Crown to move some of our household items from New Zealand to Australia as they are supposedly a large and reputable company. I was wrong.
To be fair, the initial consult, communication and packing were no problem at all, that gives them 1 star. We were told it could take about 6-10 weeks for shipping obviously due to covid delays, etc. That’s fair enough, we even moved our pack up date forward a couple of weeks so we wouldn’t be waiting as long a the other end so lived on bean bags for a short time.
It has now been 4 months since they uplifted our shipment and it hasn’t even left New Zealand. I get generic ‘update’ emails every few weeks saying they don’t have enough cargo and will keep me updated. They can’t even tell me if it will be weeks, months, years???
To top that off, they have now emailed saying shipping costs have increased and I’ll be charged more for the shipment. I’ve paid this company almost $15,000 for them to fail to do their job. We still have no idea h
ow long we’ll be waiting for our belonging and are now having to spend money replacing or re-buying items we already own.
They blame the shipping companies and say it’s all out of their control. Perhaps they should stop advertising shipping services they cannot reasonably provide. Avoid at all costs.Read more
